Melanesian Institute publishes work relating to
Melanesian culture. It consistently publishes work
that is written by Papua New
Guineans, work that covers a wide range of issues affecting Melanesian lives.

Each issue is devoted to a special theme,
relevant to the developing countries of Melanesia. Topics are approached
from different points of view by specialists in the fields of theology,
anthropology, sociology, economics, politics etc. Renamed POINT SERIES
in 1982, 30 issues have so far been published, all in book form. First
published in 1972.

journal
published twice a year. It promotes writing and research by Papua New
Guineans. It consistently showcases high quality research and its
